Beginning Bluegrass Banjo
Beginning Bluegrass Banjo is a six-week course for complete beginners, as well as others who want to review the fundamentals of three-finger picking.
​
The class will focus on learning by ear, but written material will also be provided.
​
Students will learn basic chord positions and right-hand rolls and will learn to play a few tunes common at bluegrass jam sessions. Upon completion of the course, students will have the fundamental skills needed to continue learning Scruggs-style banjo arrangements.
​
No previous banjo experience is required.

Philly Folk Choir
In this choir, we will learn and sing a variety of folk songs from all over the world, often featuring material from America and Eastern Europe. You will get to enjoy singing in a vibrant and supportive group, melding your own unique voice with the ensemble in 2, 3, and 4-part harmony. We will work on developing sustainable vocal production, delivering “authentic” performance in timbre and ornament, and having a wonderfully fun time together making beautiful music. Singing together is the best! There are several special guest teachers, all deeply steeped in different folk singing traditions, who will visit our weekly rehearsals and offer us master classes in areas of their expertise.​

Adult Group Guitar Class
Learn guitar through familiar music that makes you want to play.
Moustapha's Adult Group Guitar classes offer a welcoming, practical approach to developing guitar skills through songs that feel recognizable and engaging. Students build chords, rhythm, riffs, coordination and technique while learning music they can connect with and enjoy playing.

Rather than learning skills only as isolated exercises, students put them to use in actual songs. The goal is to make learning guitar musical from the beginning while building a foundation that can carry into many styles of music.
Classes are organized by experience level, giving new players a comfortable place to start and returning or developing guitarists room to keep progressing.

Bluegrass Guitar Class
A six-week group guitar course with Gabriel Furtado for advanced beginner and intermediate guitarists interested in learning the language, rhythm and collaborative skills of bluegrass music.
​
No previous bluegrass experience is required.
Students should, however, already have basic guitar experience.
