Class Information:
¡Ritmo Nuevo! is a brand-new offering at Urban Movement Arts! This Latin ensemble is designed specifically for adult beginners AND those who have instrumental experience who are passionate about Latin music and eager to learn in a supportive, fun, and low-pressure environment. Whether you're picking up an instrument for the first time, returning after a long break, or looking to learn a new style of music on your instrument, this group offers a welcoming space to explore the vibrant rhythms and melodies of salsa and son. Through weekly rehearsals over the course of 8-weeks, you'll build foundational skills, gain ensemble experience, and connect with fellow music lovers as you grow together as a band. No prior ensemble experience required—just a love for Latin grooves and a willingness to learn!

***All percussion instruments (clave, guiro, bongo, maracas, campana) will be provided; however, if you already play an instrument, you are welcome to bring it (keyboardists will have keyboards provided)

If you think that you will miss more than two classes, leave the season early, or you cannot arrive consistently on time, we encourage you to participate as a drop in opposed to signing up for the full series. While it is normal that people get sick and things come up, we want to keep our musical momentum.

The cost for the entire series is $176; students may pay up front in one installment or in two installments ($88 per month). Payments are non-refundable; there is a 30-day cancellation policy and a $50 cancellation fee.
